What is an advisory board?

The main purpose of an advisory board is to strengthen Irving ISD’s Signature Programs by making recommendations for program improvements and the technical aspects of Arts AV to assure the most up-to-date curriculum content and applications of are being provided to our students.  Our advisory board members will help us keep track of what is new in the industry so that we can better prepare our students to enter the workforce.  You would provide feedback on what students need in order to be prepared for entry level positions, updates on the software, and new certifications the students should be obtaining.  We would meet as a committee 4 times during this school year to discuss these things that will help prepare our students.
